Who we are & What we do ?

Witnessing For Christ Ministries is an inter-denominational evangelistic organization founded by U Tin Maung Tun in 1973. This Ministry is 100% nationally supported.

Vision

1. To set an example of striving to serve the Lord with one's own life and substance.
2. To manifest that the truth of the power of the Gospel is the same since Pentecost to this present day.
3. To encourage sanctified ( righteous ) living for assurance of one's sufficiency from God. ( Matt. 6:33 )

Objectives
Witnessing For Christ has three main objectives: -
1. To proclaim the good news of salvation. (Mark 16:15)
2. To endeavour a visible witness of the good news and reality of our living Saviour. (Mark 16:17, 20)
3. Train Nationals to serve Christ faithfully, zealously and sacrificially with one's own resources in harmony with respective Churches. (Matthew 28:19-20)

Activities

1. Encourage and assist all Christians to proclaim the good news of salvation through their Churches regardless of denominational differences.

2. Literature Evangelism Printing of Gospel Tracts and other literature, and supplying free of charge to any evangelists, youth groups or Church gospel teams. WFC also cooperates and work hand in hand with other International Ministries, such as, Philippine Crusade Inc., Emmaus Bible Correspondence School, USA, and SGM London for translation, production of their literature in Burmese and tribal languages.

3. Training Organizing annually a short term Bible Training for Part Time and Full Time Evangelists and Pastors of all denominations who have no formal Bible School Training. Because of spiritual revival resulting many conversions, most Churches are facing shortage of Leaders. Hence, we were once again obliged to remedy this problem the best we can and established a Pastors Training College since February 1997. The Training is more a vocational type than academic.

4. Bible Correspondence Courses Giving Bible Correspondence Courses on Salvation as well as Christian growth. Most of the courses are translated courses from Emmaus Bible College, U. S. A. We have written a few also.

5. Associate Workers from All Denominations There are ( 142 ) workers ( 1999 ) from (7) main denominations associated with Witnessing For Christ Ministry today. The Brethren Assemblies, Independent Baptist, Assemblies of God, Church of Christ, Anglican, Presbyterian and Methodist. We assist Itinerant Evangelists and Pastors, provide travelling expenses and random financial fellowship. Provide special equipments, such as, slide projectors, radios and cassettes, etc. etc. to enhance their efforts in the spreading of the gospel and evangelistic movements individually or through their respective Churches.

6. Radio Evangelism Preaching the gospel through FEBC Radio facilities from Manila and also Saipan in Burmese language and some tribal languages of the Myanmar people. WFC also take sole responsibility for Listeners' Follow-Up, by mail counseling or giving Bible Correspondence Courses. (80)% of Enquirer's are from non-Christians. Radio Evangelism has become more effective in leading people to Christ now a days. Be it a freelance evangelist, a gospel group or Church evangelist, they all have one common remark, and i.e., almost everyone they meet to witness, tells them that they already believe and know Jesus Christ from listening to Radio FEBC. Some even testify that they have personally experienced Jesus to be alive and are worshipping Him. All they need is, to know what Baptism is, and how to join a Church for fellowship. All that is necessary for these evangelists to do was, to explain the meaning of baptism and fellowship with other Christians or join the Church. Therefore, Radio FEBC is one of the best pre-Church form of evangelism for the Myanmar people today. Radio Ministry is also effective for those who live far away from Churches and for those who live in remote areas.
